Meet Lisa Bristowe
Lisa completed the Graduate Diploma of Genetic Counselling from Newcastle University in 2000. She brings two decades of experience as a Genetic Counsellor, working previously at Liverpool Hospital and currently at Sydney Children’s Hospital.
Lisa brings expertise and skills in the area of paediatrics, adult and prenatal genetic counselling. She has a particular interest in genetics of hearing loss, neuromuscular conditions and neurodegenerative genetic conditions.
With a background in psychology, Lisa has a special interest in the psychosocial impact of genetic disease on the family. Lisa is a certified and registered Genetic Counsellor with the Human Genetic Society of Australasia (HGSA).
Lisa is a current member of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) committee, which is a sub-committee of the HGSA Board of Censors for Genetic Counselling.
Meet Ron Fleischer
Ron Fleischer completed the Graduate Diploma of Genetic Counselling from Newcastle University in 2000. Since then he has worked as a genetic counsellor in family cancer clinics, as well as prenatal, paediatric and adult genetic clinics.
He has served as the NSW state representation to the Australasian Society of Genetic Counsellors and attended and presented at numerous Human Genetic Society of Australasia conferences. He has a special interest in prenatal screening and diagnosis and is a current member of the HGSA Professional Practice Committee.
Ron Fleischer, also a certified and registered Genetic Counsellor with the HGSA, offers extensive experience in family cancer clinics, prenatal, paediatric and adult genetic counselling. His special interest lies in prenatal screening and diagnosis and he contributes actively to the HGSA Professional Practice Committee.
