Your first visit to The Genetic Clinic will be a consultation of up to 45 minutes. The out-of-pocket expense for this initial consult is $220.
The out-of-pocket expense for any subsequent session of up to 30 minutes is $110.
Payment is required by bank transfer following the consultation.
Please note that the cost for any genetic testing will be charged independently from the pathology service that performs the test. We will advise you of the approximate cost prior to any testing.
No referral is required to see a Genetic Counsellor.
Unfortunately there is currently no Medicare rebate for genetic counselling, nor is it covered by private health insurance.
